Ingredients

  • 4 surimi sticks

  • ½ jicama

  • 1 cucumber

  • 1 tomato

  • ½ red onion

  • ½ cup cilantro

  • Sliced serrano chilies (to taste)

  • ½ cup olive oil

  • ½ cup orange juice

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • Oregano, salt, and pepper to taste

  • Baked tostadas (for serving)


Instructions

  1. Chop: Slice the surimi, jicama, cucumber, and onion into thin strips; dice the tomato, cilantro, and chilies.

  2. Dressing: Mix olive oil, orange juice, lime juice, oregano, salt, and pepper.

  3. Combine: In a bowl, mix the chopped ingredients with the dressing. Stir well.

  4. Chill: Refrigerate for 15 minutes.

  5. Serve: Arrange on a platter with tostadas and optional avocado.
